Secret or Out in the Open

men's pink plaid panties

Hey XDress family, long time since I blogged and I hope you have been enjoying the summer as much as I have. I do love the summer fashions and it’s such fun looking thru the collections of skimpy denim shorts, mini-skirts and crop and cami tops in the mall.  But as we move into Autumn, and temperatures begin to drop, I see stores are now changing over to the heavier winter clothes, out with the old and in with the new! As it happens every year, I guess we will all get used to wearing heavier clothes and showing less skin: sweaters, sleeved shirts, long pants and just more clothes over ourselves.

It got me thinking about this community. XDress offers so many cute and stylish products that I know we all love and enjoy mostly privately. Not many of us are likely to talk openly about under garments with our co-workers and friends but do they know or suspect? Do they not know? If they do, do they support you? Have they asked to try? Or inquire where you get them?

I was changing at the gym the other day and pulling on my Body Aware deep pink gym shorts over my pink satin and lace cheekster panty and was asked where I got the panties. I proudly said XDress and the guy said he liked them and never knew they existed for men. So in that case, I feel like I helped someone find themselves or at least find something that they can enjoy with their SO.

There was a time when I was kinda shy about wearing XDress and was rather protective about it. Kinda hiding it from those around me.  I still do not actively promote it but if someone notices, they sometimes inquire where I get them. Surely not everybody agrees or approves, but I couldn’t care less.  As I get older, I find it is more important to be yourself and be comfortable with all you do for you.

Anyway, this led me to wonder that with the greater societal tolerance of anything related to crossdressing and gender nonconformity, if people are now more open about their choice in undies. I have shifted from not telling to not caring and am rather open about it if and when I am asked or if my thong is exposed when I bend over to pick something up. If asked, I just state how comfortable and flirty they are and, better yet, how much my SO loves them.

So, from this community, I’d like to hear if you are open or closeted in your XDress selection. Also share your feelings on the changing seasons and how that effects what you like to wear. Do you miss the skimpy clothing of summer?

This raises some interesting questions. My approach to my xdress selections is quite open at home, but closeted outside, where the subject has never come up. I don’t really know if I would openly acknowledge my love for many of xdress’s selections. I think I would, but I’m not about to press the issue. As respects the change in the weather, I do miss the skimpy hot weather clothing, but cooler weather offers other means of self expression. Sweaters for instance offer a great variety of colors, patterns and textures that can be very attractive and non-boring. Under this more substantial clothing there is plenty of room for self expression, comfort and sex appeal. I have one suggestion. Bodysuits are not only attractive and very sexy, they can serve as a base layer to provide some extra warmth in cold weather. I do think it’s important to maintain that special feeling you get from wearing something attractive, comfortable and sexy.
