The Wonderful World of Panties!

The Wonderful World of Panties!

Greetings Dear Readers!

I hope you are well and wearing something pretty. First, a shout out to Nathan, who suggested a blog topic about lingerie. Thanks, Nathan. What a fun topic! Because the word “lingerie” covers such a large array of clothing, I’m going to limit this blog to the topic of panties – a topic I know you are all totally into, as am I.

The great majority of us got our start in cross-dressing with panties. A good number of us started by exploring mom’s or sister’s panty drawer and then progressed to buying our own. Some folks, once they are adults, limit themselves to underdressing under their everyday male clothing, while others of us progressed on to bras, hosiery, and finally outer clothing.

I was a late starter, having begun with underdressing in middle age. Do you remember the thrill of that first time you slipped into a pair of panties? I was so amazed by the choices. With men’s underwear, you have a choice of tighty whities or boxers. Of course, you could expand that to uh, tighty whities or boxers. Of course, you can also find male thongs, usually in, of all places, swimwear. With panties, you’ve got this amazing variety of styles, colors, and fabrics. Xdress/Body Aware has a huge selection, ranging from pretty grannies to bikinis, thongs, G-strings, tap pants, tangas – ah the list goes on! And the fabrics! Lace, satin, cotton, polyester. I’m all about comfort, and men’s underwear does not begin to measure up to the comfortable styles and fabrics of Xdress panties.

It’s interesting to me that, although I’ve been underdressing for many years now (I have one pair of men’s underwear that I wear for my annual physical with my very conservative doctor) that it is still a treat every morning to pick out the day’s panties. When I wore men’s underwear, I didn’t give a thought to the selection of underwear, as they all looked the same. Not so with panties. Every day it is fun to decide on what panties to wear. Is it like that for you?

Online panty shopping is the safest way to go, and Xdress/Body Aware panties are designed with the male physique in mind, in terms of the width of the gusset, which gives a very comfortable fit. It is also fun to go to the “other side of the store” and explore the panty section. I am very fortunate to have a very supportive wife, and we go panty shopping together. I find that shopping in stores appeals to my feminine side, plus it is just a bit risky, making it all the more fun. Part of the fun for me is wearing a very sexy pair of panties under my women’s jeans and nobody has a clue how hot I look under it all. Speaking of jeans, if you try on a pair of women’s skinny jeans, you’ll never go back to men’s jeans. I know, that’s off-topic, but I just had to throw that in there.

Okay, so there are my thoughts on the topic. How about you? Are you a full-time panty wearer or limit it to weekends or special occasions? How old were you when you started underdressing? What are your favorite styles/fabrics? What is your preferred style of shopping – online or brick and mortar? Warm-up those keyboards guys/gurls. You know I love hearing your stories!

Fond regards,

Angie ♥️

To John and G:

Your hesitation to wear panties full time seems to be as G stated, you are hardwired to think about what is and isn’t acceptable. This is most likely because you grew up in a very black and white society, one which dictated what certain groups are allowed to do.

However, the existence of websites such as this are indicative of a world which has gray areas. Specifically in this case, men that wear lingerie.

I want to wholeheartedly assure anyone here who is having second thoughts about wearing panties full time, or any other feminine clothing for that matter, that there is absolutely nothing wrong with you. You are allowed to wear what you prefer, just as women do.

Do not let social stigmas and the opinions of others affect your choices. Once you truly accept this side of yourself, the world becomes a better place. You have just one life on this Earth, do not spend it limiting yourself.

Hello everyone. I have been a long time Panty wearer since my teens. Transitioned to everyday almost 20 years ago now. I still buy many pairs from department stores with my wife as that allows us to buy matching sets for which we love to do together. However, when buying online it is exclusively from XD in fact my everyday Panties are from XD. I have started recently with bras but cannot see that everyday but instead more with playtime.

I agree that you must go slow and talk with your wife. I have always done this with my past relationships and my wife. This allows her to comprehend your needs and wants without feeling threaten about your relationship or a piece of clothing. This could be the very first time she has ever come across someone who doesn’t subscribe to the typical boxer male norm and might have further questions or apprehensions. But communication is the key … just don’t overload all at once. My experience has been positive and most have been overwhelmingly accepting and even enjoying their man in panties. It’s creates such a closeness and bond with your wife that only men who wear panties can relate too and understand. So yes the benefits far exceed the risks. Besides who want to live their life as someone else’s expectation.

Anyway, be yourself and buy some new panties today.

There is undeniably a cultural shift going on where female empowerment is no longer defined by women’s sexuality, and as a result women are no longer feeling the need to dress for men, but rather for themselves. As a result, there are new women’s u/wear brands coming along that are very basic in color and shape, designed purely for comfort. You see the decline in VS and the rise of companies like Spanx. Its almost like there has been a switch where women are choosing the plain styles that men have been stuck with for decades as it makes them feel more confident, while more and more men are choosing to wear the feminine styles that make us feel more sexy and in touch with our true selves, shrugging off the need to portray a 100% macho image that starts with wearing tough ugly underwear. I think Xdress was way ahead of its time when it started (I believe 20 yrs ago), and I love the current speed of this change where men can wear what they like. I look forward to the day when I can go in a regular department store and head for the men’s lingerie department without any embarrassment. Perhaps Xdress will open a lingerie store, here’s hoping!

To John and G
Don’t worry about posting to much. I dont think u can find a better place to openly and cleanly discuss issues with panty wearing and lingerie
As for full time panty wear, dont worry about it. If you want to go ahead ( i simply took my male undies out of the drawer and replaced them with panties save a few for doctor visits)
Either panties or male undies is ok its whatever you want

Hi there John and G
It’s not necessarily an issue. You can wear what you like either way. Let’s face it, few women put on high heels and a sexy skirt if they are just chillin around the house or going shopping for groceries.
I love xdress panties because they are so pretty and so comfortable – girls’ panties just don’t fit in the right places. I like tangas best as they are barely there yet don’t cut me up the wrong place like a thong. Making sure you have panties that are comfortable is key. That might not be the case if you find you are wearing boxers or Ys. Have a drawer full of comfy undies of different styles and put on what feels best. A satin tanga does for me quite nicely.
